Friends

Lord Menuhin founded the Friends of The Yehudi Menuhin School in 1971 together with a few local supporters of the School. The first concert for the Friends took place in Slyfield Barn in the summer of 1972, and since then the Friends have enjoyed many concerts in the Barn, in various venues in London, and now in The Menuhin Hall.

The Friends provide our pupils with a highly supportive audience. They are a local and familiar group of encouraging patrons who share a love of music performed by talented young musicians. Many of our Friends enjoy following the journey of our pupils as they progress through the School and into the wider world as professional musicians.
