The Menuhin Hall, built as a memorial to Yehudi Menuhin, was opened in January 2006 by HRH Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO.

Sited near Lord Menuhin’s grave in the ground of the school, the world-class auditorium seats up to 300; the platform can accommodate an orchestra of up to 45 musicians. Designed to have the best acoustics for strings and piano, the venue affords audiences the opportunity to witness great music-making featuring both the Yehudi Menuhin school pupils and internationally renowned musicians.

The Hall has won the coveted RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) award, a British Construction Industry award and has been short-listed for a Civic trust Award.

“To witness the exuberant yet structured, prepared yet spontaneous performance of the children moves an audience to tears.”
